The X83V ASUS Laptop Review!

So, yesterday I got a brand new computer for my school work and leisure. Today I will give you a review on  my brand new X83VB-X2 Laptop Computer from ASUS! The X83 comes with a 14.1 inch screen with cristal clear display and fine crisp audio thanks to Realtek Audio. The asus laptop comes with a beutiful black, blue splatter finish on the cover, and a full keyboard on the inside! Speaking of on the inside, this baby has a NVidia GeForce9300 graphics card inside, plus a full 250 gigabytes of Hard Drive!!! Speaking of Gigabytes, it has 4 gigs of memory! I cannot beleve the great deal I got! Speaking of deals, I got this baby for less than $1000. I still cannot believe that this Asus Laptop was that cheap!! I bought it at BestBuy, but they also have Asus Laptops on Amazon at a good price:

I love this puppy so much that I wish everyone should have this good of a computer!!! For me, in the war of Pc’s and Mac’s, I’ve already chosen the side of Windows Vista. Speaking of Windows, this computer has Vista! I thought that Vista was going to be lame, but no! Thats right! WINDOWS IS AWESOME!!! Not trying to offend Mac users, but I just have fallen in love with my computer and Windows Vista. The Online Gamer Kid has finally got a new Pc!

But this computer does have some issues with it…

Asus Problem:

  • I hate the Asus Laptop built in mouse; I already have a wireless mouse.
  • The Asus Laptops Keyboard is a little too big.

But that’s pretty much it! Be sure to bookmark this page and check back to see what you can find on eBay for the Asus, I saved the link here: Click Here: Buy Asus on eBay!

Bought my X83VB-X2 used at a computer swapmeet for $200.00. Harddisk is smaller ‘tho (the previous owner pulled out the 250GB and put in a 80GB 5400rpm HDD with no OS). No problem there since this is not a laptop I will use for professional use. I put Windows 7 on it and it works flawlessly. Memory was also only 2GB (generic) so upgraded that to 4GB with a cheap Patriot SODIMM (PC 6400, 800MHZ DDR2). It was also missing one of the cables that went to the charger. Everything else is in mint condition. Since I only got this laptop for fun (I prefer Fujitsu and IBM) it was still a great deal! Battery still works around 4 hours. I like everything about this laptop but the mousepad. Never liked those things, the most stupid design for a mouse for laptops. I totally prefer the mouse that looks like an eraser tip in the middle of the keypad that originated from IBM. Now THAT was and still is to me the only wisest design for a mouse for a laptop. My summary? Great deal, but sadly the keyboard is clunky cheap sounding, hate the mousepad and the mouse buttons are obnoxiously and stupidly loud when clicked, the screen could also use a better (higher) resolution then 1280 x 800. Other than that… for the price that I got it for ($200, used) it is a great deal. Would I pay $400 for it new even? Sorry, NO WAY.
