For many years now I have been completely satisfied with my simple Trac fone as my only cell phone. It has served me well and been quite economical.  Recently however, I learned of a new service that Sprint offers called the Sprint Family Locator. This cell phone tracker service is absolutely amazing.  For only $5.00 a month I can use to Sprint Family Locator to keep track of my family members from my cell phone or a computer.  It’s actually really fun to do.  Not to mention how handy it is when my husband or children are late for dinner.


With this cool cell phone tracker, all I have to do is either look at my cell phone or my computer and I can instantly see the location of my children and my husband.  That is assuming of course that they have their cell phones with them and they’re turned on.

If I could do this with my old Trac fone, I would’ve never switched but Trac fone  doesn’t offer the service.  For only $5.00 a month you can track up to four people with the Sprint Family Locator. You can do as many searches as you want during the month and they don’t charge you any more than $5.00.  If you want to check on the location of your husband 10,000 times in a month, it’s easy to do and like I said, it only costs $5.00.  It’s a good thing that it’s so cheap because if you are actually checking on the location of your husband that much, you really should spend some money with a good marriage counselor or therapist.

You don’t need a special cell phone in order for this service to work.  It will work with any Sprint or Nextel cell phone.  If you have one of the new were programmable smart phones, Sprint has an application that you can download and install for free that will enable you to use your cell phone as a tracking device.  If you don’t have one of these newer phones, that’s okay, you can still use the service from any Internet connected computer.
