Here’s a tech review for the Kodak Pocket Video Camera, the Easyshare Zi8 is one of the better if not one of the best selling digital cameras today. It’s not hard to see that we are now a youtube generation that grew up with video. Everyone wants to use and record video in their everyday live. Video is no longer just for the wealthy as it once was.
But now that video is everywhere you need to be able to shoot and share your own and one way to do it is to buy a small portable video camera like the Kodak Zi8 that won’t break the bank and has a street price of just over $100. It’s one of the best digital camera deals available today. The Kodak Zi8 offers ease of use and one of the big reasons this pocket video camera is so popular is due to the fact that it’s so easy to not only record, but also share your videos.
Like the flip cameras, the Kodak Zi8 offers the same handy flip out USB connector so sharing videos is really as easy as plugging into your computer and dragging and dropping your videos. You can use the included easyshare sotware which I found I didn’t really use as it was easy enough to copy the videos to my desktop and just upload them from there.
Another feature I really need and appreciate on this small digital camera is the fact that that I am not limited to the recording video using only the built in memory on the digital camera but can expand the memory on the Kodak Zi8 up to 32GB which makes for ten hours of continuous video recording time with the addition of a 32GB SD/SDHC memory card. Yes it cost me a few dollars for the extra memory but it makes the Kodak Zi8 a much much more useable video camera.
I really like the Kodak Zi8 and for the price of just over $100 I think it’s the best video camera on the market today.
