The Move is the new motion detecting peripheral for Sony Playstation 3. It’s similar to how the Wii works, but more advanced and better performing. Just like with Wii, there are tons of accessories and games that are coming out. This PS3 Review  is going to help you understand what it is that you actually need to get the most from your Move.

The main component of Playstation Move is the Wand. With any of the bundles that you get, it will come with just the Wand, leaving you to wonder why there’s another controller that goes with it! That controller isn’t exactly a necessity. You can use the Dual Shock controller that you already have for your PS3 in it’s place. It’s a little tough to use, but it’s going to work just fine.

If you have a Wii you already have a pretty good idea of what Playstation Move accessories are going to be like. You’re going to see all sorts of guns, tennis rackets, and other random things. The thing is, most of these are just for novelty and will see little use when you actually start playing. Another problem is that some of them will even affect how the Move operates since they cover the sensor in the tip of the Wand. Be sure that you really want any accessory and see yourself using it more than a couple of times before making any purchase. Those are dollars that you could be spending on games.

There are tons of fantastic Move games coming out. Little Big Planet 2 is the most anticipated PS3 game coming out this holiday season, and it’s Move compatible. The game that is bundled with Move, Sports Champions, is already receiving praise as one of the best all around sports games of all time. Move is no joke, and the titles that are coming out prove that very well.


There are a lot of parts to making up the Playstation Move. You’re going to have to decide what you want to spend your money on, but I recommend that you get the games first, accessories later. Doing this will make sure that you really get the important things first, and the novelty second.
