Ok, so I’m a bit of of a techno-geek and I like to buy and check out a lot of photography and video related products. I’m buying a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX75 Digital Camera. I’m not a professional but rather I consider myself a well informed hobbyist. I spend a lot of money on my gadgets and over time I develop a love for certain products or brand names. Just as some things I learn to love, there are some things and brands I do not like very much. In this case, the brand being Panasonic, I really like their products.
I’ve owned many Panasonic products over the years. Mostly cameras but I’ve owned a printer or 2 also. I’ve always been pretty happy with the Panasonic cameras I’ve owned. Most of the time, when Panasonic announces a new product to the one I already have, I’ll usually make the purchase and then give the old one away as a gift. Sometimes to my kids and sometimes to my friends. My friends and family are usually excited about new products also because they know they will soon receive a gift from me as I pass my old stuff on.
I’ve owned a couple of Lumix cameras before and I like them very much. They are basically a point and shoot camera but they produce some really stunning photos and I have found they work pretty good in low light situations. As technology advances, so do the abilities of point and shoot cameras. Once you could only take still photos and now a lot of them are offering HD video. I only wish I had been able to capture video from still cameras back in the day.
In a few days, my camera should be arriving. I have a grandson who has his first birthday very soon and I think that will be a great time to give the Lumix a go. I have a feeling I’ll be keeping the Panasonic Lumix FX75 for a long time before I hand it down.
