Online Game Review:  Today the Orange Box by Valve is around 19.99$ for the computer, and for five games, a truly great save! Not only does The Orange Box include hits like Half-Life Episodes one and two, Team Fortress 2, but The Orange Box also includes newcomer to gaming, Portal. In portal you are a subject in the Aperture science labs where an insane computer personality pits you against mind-bending puzzles in 2007′s best deal ever.  If you’re looking for gift ideas for teens, The Orange Box is a great gift idea!

Here’s a video on uTube with scenes from halo wars, resident evil 5, god of war 3, Sims 3, Street Fighter 4. I can’t wait for the new God of War to come out! It looks so awesome! Same with the new sims, because I CANNOT WAIT to be an astronout! Same with Streetfighter, only instead of being an astronout I’m going to be Ryu!!!HADOKEN!!! Anyways, all the games look totally awesome! Has anyone noticed how much graphics have improved in the last three years? The answer is ALOT!!! In the Halo Wars trailer, it felt like I was battling side by side my fellow marines!

I wish that there would be more sites made by and for kids these days!!! I mean, Newgrounds was started by Tom Fulp when he was like, what 13!?

Anyway, just wanted to say that my generation needs to get more active when it comes to creating things on the Internet. I mean, just playing games isn’t enough, MAKE THEM!!! I wish more kids would lose the idea that just because you make games, or you make websites, your a geek!!! I am sick and tired of stereotypes!!! And what if I am a geek, so what!!! GEEK POWER!!! Seriously, I’d like to see more kid generated stuff around here.

Well since we don’t have Civ 5 yet, and we don’t know when or if it’ll come out, we’ll have to do with Civ 4.  And actually there ‘s nothing wrong with Civ 4 so there probably won’t ever be a Civ 5, Civ 4 is that good!  So read on, online gamer kid, for the Civ 4 Top 10 List! 

And if I missed one please leave a comment.  Also if you have a strong opinion about the order, that’s ok too.

1. Civ 4 has awesome graphics.  Amazing unit detail too.
2. Civ 4 has good gameplay.  As smooth as butter.
3. Civ 4 has cool scenarios.  I love the Ice Age one.
4. Civ 4 has challenging AI.  After a while it gets really tough.
5. Civ 4 has awesome strategy.  And Civ 4 has awesome music too.
6. Civ 4 is good for multiplayer online game.  Love the multiplayer.
7. Civ 4 has a good map generator.  I am a fan of whatever they’re using.
8. Civ 4 has cool civilizations.  I love playing as the Russians.
9. Civ 4 has cool characters.  Napolean is hilarious!
10. Civ 4 has great quality.  I could play this game hours and hours on end.

So, since Civ 4 is so amazingly awesome, do you think there will ever be a Civ 5???

Game Shark Online is the premier site for any online gamer.  Today when I went to GameShark, I was immediately engulfed in the awesomeness of controller skins, faceplates, and urban packs. One thing caught my eye in particular, the Xbox 360 Transport System.  It’s basically a bad-ass backpack for all your game related goodies.  And at the low, low price of only 59.99$, it’s a ‘freakin bargain!!!  I mean, google it and see what I’m talking about!

 I personally thought this would be an obvious answer, but oh well. What kids do when they’re not playing games on their pc’s, they’re usually on social networking sites like:

• newgrounds.com
• Mypsace.com
• Facebook.com
• Gaia.com
• hi5.com

And the list goes on and on! It seems that a new site sprouts up every week.  Other than gaming and chatting online, kids don’t do alot of stuff online. We’re not into Twitter, that’s for geeks! 
My favorite of the list is definately Newgrounds.com because on top of being a great gaming site, plus great indie music creators in the audio portal, PLUS hilarious movies, it has some of the coolest features in the social networking industrie like RPG-like levels and secret items! If you go there now you would find yourself in a wonderland where you could creat a whole life in just a few minutes. You would immerse yourself in the joy of interacting in the forums. I personally thought of this great site as a nirvana to me whenever i just needed a break. As long as someone deosn’t make a newgrounds 2.1 or something, you can find me as Lock3.

This summer I’m going to be taking some classes online with Giant Campus.  It’s summer camp for kids, and it’s a cool way to learn new computer skills.  I’m also going to summer camp again this year in the Bay Area, at UC Berkeley overnight summer camp.  This will be the third summer of sleepaway camps with Giant Campus! So – hope that gives you some ideas of what kids do online besides playing games!
