Hi Jolene,
Thanks for your patience! Sorry you found the blog mid transfer, here's the bbq bean recipe!
Penny - the blog webmaster.

Elvin's Recipe for Santa Maria Style Pinquito Beans

Ingredients:

3 Cans S & W Pinquitos (Pink Beans, Chili Peppers, Onion, Cumin & Garlic)
1 Can Del Monte Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes with Zesty Jalapenos
1 1/4 lb. ground turkey
1 beef boullion cube (use a brand with no MSG)
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon pepper,
1 Teaspoon cumin
2 Tablespoons California chile powder
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Directions:

Brown the ground turkey until it is crumbly, add the beef boullion cube when the turkey just starts to brown - it'll make a sauce that looks like taco meat. Add salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder and chile powder to taste. Place the turkey and its' sauce in a crock pot, and add the pinquinto beans and tomatoes with jalapenos. Cover and cook in the crockpot on low overnight.
